Hello all,
Just a quickie to let you know, that I'm doing a bit of a summer clean and I
am getting rid off accounts that haven't been used in a while on the web
site.
If you have got an email indicating that your account is for the chop,
please log into the web site, or let me know.

FreeNAS is a good bet. I can't remember how small a footprint freeBSD
is but it'll run VSFTPd quite nicely without much other junk. :)
(Apparently vsftpd is more secure that proftp...i dont know how much
truth there is in that though.)

You are looking at either an old centos server install...or maybe something
like FreeNAS which has ProFTPd
How small do you mean by small?

Small Linux
by Dave@Staffslug
Hello one and all.
I've been asked what Distro of Linux would be good just to be used to
provide an FTP service (got to be a small footprint as poss)..
Any recommendations?
