Newcastle members

Hi all,
situation is, last o2 joggler in staffordshire is in the newcastle
store. I've reserved it but can't get to newcastle from stafford.
I was wondering if there is anyone from newcastle who will be coming
to the next meet who could collect it from the o2 store today for me
and bring it with them?

Folks,
It was suggested at the pub meet that we have another trip to Bletchley
Park. I was suggesting that we did it the weekend of the 19th - 20th
June as this is when the Vintage Computing weekend is on. I was
planning to attend on the Sunday anyway, so if any of you folks want to
organise a car pool to get down there, that would be cool.
NB: As I'm no longer living in Derby, I won't be offering lifts!

June Meeting

Hello all,
I've been having a think about this month's meeting, and I'm thinking that
we should have a Yard meeting and talk about what things we would like to
have in the technical meetings.
But, I've just checked the dates for the world cup and it appears to start
on 11th June, so if we are going to have the meeting, it would need to be
on Monday 7th June. (If anyone knows differently about this date, please
let me know as I'm not really a big foot ball person!)
Is that ok with everyone?

network cabling advice

Hi guys,
My friend has a box of shielded cat5e I could use to flood-wire my new
house. I've never worked with shielded cable, and m question is, is
there anything wrong with using shielded all the way around my
network?
I remember hearing once that it could increase the voltage in the
cable or something? Wish I'd paid more attention now!
