Guys, it's difficult to explain any better, sorry. What happens is
that in Yahoo Groups you have a blank space to enter whatever text you
wish to describe a group. Think of blank text entry box. There is no
need to do stuff like starting the page off with the usual
<html><head> etc. You can enter plain text and it appears on the page
like that. You can also add something such as<p><strong>this is seen
as html coded text</strong> and that works. In the next bit you can
add a picture. In this case it simply needs a jpeg uploading (via a
button press). Where I am getting stuck is that the text entry
section has a limit of 2000 characters. Which is not a lot if you
want to encode something in html due to the extra characters taken up
with the tags. So, I tried adding a block of text to a graphic and
resaving it as a jpeg. That worked. Until I tried loading it up.
The text is too damn small to read :-( But it shouldn't be and I have
seen other groups that have done this with perfectly readable text
placed as a graphic. It has been hinted that it may have been done
using iFrames? What are iFrames? Bear in mind I learned html when it
was about level 3. I did write a fair bit of code but that was about
8 years ago now and I am very rusty....
