Thanks for that I will have a look at it. I have a Dell Mini 10v so in between those that
you mentioned. I just wasn't too sure about it all but grateful for your extra
input. I like what I have got but am a bit of an obsessive fiddler so was just curious.

Just to add to that, the netbook remix is a version of Ubuntu designed
specifically for netbooks, with an interface that should work better

Dell Netbook remix is a version of it that has been tweaked by Dell
for the Inspiron Mini 9 and Mini 12, with drivers etc for those
devices. Don't even consider it unless your Dell laptop is an Inspiron
Mini 9 or 12, as it's specifically built for their hardware. If you do
have a Mini 9 or Mini 12, then I personally wouldn't bother unless you
really don't like what you've already got and want to try something
different.
