I had this problem a few months ago. I collect the screws whenever I can,
but sometimes I run out. I got a handy little kit of 120 screws, jumpers
and spacers on eBay. The guy doesn't seem to have any listed at the
moment, but this is the URL for his eBay shop, so you can e-mail him and
ask if he has any:

If you don't want to buy online, try Maplin.
Best wishes,
Chris
You guys are really helpful. Now can anybody tell me a good place
around
Stoke where I can buy those little PC Screws? Wilko and B&Q don't sell
them, at least not in Crewe. Though you can mail-order bags of them from
Radiospares.
Research reveals these screws are typically Pan-Head Machine Screws, and
there are two main types:
Case screws are 6-32 (six gauge wire with 32 threads per inch) American
National Coarse Thread (UNC) using English Units. Case screws are 1/4-inch
long while the similar Hard Drive screws can be 3/16-inch long.
But CD-Rom screws are the finer Metric Standard M3x0.5 (3 mm wire with a
0.5 mm thread pitch) 5-mm or maybe 4-mm long.
