I'd like to echo Tom's sentiment and please ask everybody to move on.
Learn the lesson where it's needed and let's all get back to being
friends agian please.
Just to bring us back on track a bit more I have some good news. I
went through some of my old live disks last night and they all work
fine. I've even had both Sabayon and Fedora load!!!!!! I've never
had Fedora (or R/H) load before even though I've tried them many
times. Again, I can only repeat that the only thing that has been
changed hardware wise is that I am now using a Thomson 4 port plus
wireless (this PC is wired to one of the ethernet ports) router. The
NIC and everything is the same and is actually the one built into the
mobo.
I think it's worthwhile noting this change of events as we all too
often blame something like built in hardware such as a NIC when it amy
not be that after all when we have problems. For the record, the old
router is a D-Link 504 II.
Now, is there a live BSD distro? Andrew, you're the BSD man here do
you know? I'd like to try one just for the sake of it really :-)
