We rebuilt the staffslug.org.uk website on Wordpress, after endless

There's nothing simpler that I've seen lately.
WordPress is a blog not a CMS you will notice most Lugs and Podcasts use
CMS, predominately Drupal although The Linux Foundation has just adopted
Joomla for its site.
I'm not knocking Dave in his choice of WordPress he has done a fantastic
job just making it clear for anyone reading the thread who does not
understand that there is a difference.
Depending on what Kevan intends doing with 'the site' this will
determine what he needs. It looks to me that he intends it to be a
Portal to FreeCycle in which case WordPress is more than adequate given
that all he will want to do is post the odd bit of news and comment on
various items I presume. However by their very nature you might just as
well have a single index.html(Or .php) page seeing as all you are doing
is redirecting to the Yahoo-Groups.
If Kevan wanted to 'do his own thing' then go for a Content Management
System you would still have the option of redirecting to yahoo but the
ability to 'fill out' your own content with modules and components ect.
Kevan they are really easy to use and take up far less time than
creating stuff in NVU, Dreamweaver or Front Page.
