Re: [Staffslug] Feb Meeting

We moved to the Yard because it does nice food, isn't expensive and it's fairly pleasant inside. It's only a very rare occasion that there's anything else going on. We knew there would occasionally be football going on and thought we could just move elsewhere when needed. We moved away from Wetherspoons because it was a busy, dirty shithole where we couldn't hear ourselves talk. I think we ended up catching "student night" (i.e every night) a lot. The situation may well have changed in the last 12 months and I'm happy to try anywhere else. There's two pubs in Stafford that stick in my mind: Radford Bank because it does an awesome carvery and the Tap and Spile because it did cheap double JD's. The former might be worth a try, there's plenty of space IIRC. The latter is smaller, more of a local place. Anyone know if it's open still?
