As a side note what a brilliant thread / discussion how often do you see
members all pulling together to make something happen on any other
lists or
forums you may be members of?
I've not seen any arguments, flames or the usual 'sending them away with a
flea in the ear' everyone should get a pat on the back for contributing in a
mature adult fashion.
Now could somebody pick my rattle up I threw out my pram just over there
in the corner. :-)

Arch Linux is an independent i686-optimized community distribution for
intermediate and advanced Linux users. Utilising a Rolling Release System
packages are regularly updated and an ISO release is just a snapshot to the
stable packages at that time. So there's no need for a fresh install the
command 'pacman –Syu' upgrades the whole system.

I agree, this is one of the best threads...ever, if I'm not mistaken.
