Sounds like you've got the "unsupported" and/or "proposed" repositories enabled which probably contain the beginnings of .1. Note that they're called unsupported because they're half way to using a beta release. If you have them enabled, don't expect a fully supported system. If you don't have them enabled then I havn't a clue why it'd be detecting a distro update!
