tools i guess, dhcp and NAT should have solved your problems, no?

Well, this is what you get when you have BSD under the skin :-) I did
try the VMware VM BSD on Workstation the other day. Very nice. It
would have been even better if I could have done a bit of surfing.
Every other VM works fine just not BSD :-(
