Nice one :-) Isn't it just wonderful when that happens? I've got to
see if the same happens with an external combo drive unit. I thas a
Prolific PL3507 chip controlling it. It is simply a box with some
circuitry in it controlling USB and Firewire connections. You add
whatever drive you wish to it. It doesn't work under Windows with a
DVD writer. So, I'm hoping it will with Linux. I shall be trying it
over the next few days....at sometime....when I get around to it :-/
Let's just say that it is supposedly supported from kernel 2.4x
onwards.
