Subject: [SB] Vacancy for Technical Support Engineer
Date: Thu, 17 Jul 2008 09:09:19 +0000
We have a vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer, the salary range is
between £20 - £30k depending on the relevant experience you have.
Location is in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham the ideal candidate will
have either an MCSE or a Red Hat Certification.
We provide leading edge high availability and disaster
recovery solutions and are committed to providing the highest levels of
support and service to our corporate client base.
In this role you will be responsible for providing technical customer
support to IT Technicians who use our client’s data replication and
failover solution. The solution works on both Windows and Linux, and you
will provide assistance with setting up and maintaining the solution.
To succeed as a Technical Support Engineer you must have previous
experience supporting server operating systems and networking, with
storage configuration. An MCSE or Red Hat accreditation would be a
distinct advantage to your application.
We are also keen to hear from junior candidates with relevant
experience, as long as you can demonstrate knowledge of IT servers and
infrastructures. And because our product is available in many
environments (e.g. Exchange, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 to name a few),
candidates with experience in a particular application area will also be
considered.
Additionally, as a Technical Support Engineer you should have a good
attitude, the ability to work in a team, and the desire to show off your
skills, whilst delivering a high level of customer service.
To apply for the role of Technical Support Engineer, please simply send
your CV and a covering letter to me by 25th July 2008. We will conduct
first interviews during the first week of August.
