yea I think it does I'll have a look for a online vendor that sells generic remotes. I think it's just a case of trial and error really. shame someone could make a bit of money if they catered towards linux users. and tested stuff and labeled it linux friendly.

We have used the Microsoft Media Centre remotes, and some universal remotes, some fancy utilities and a generic receiver.

If a post needs a link to an online vendor then I see no problem in
it.   Especially if it is a recommended Linux friendly one :-)
