Personally I don't see much point. I connect to both networks for more
reasons than just #staffslug...
So in either case it wouldn't matter to me; though given the higher
amount of users (and indeed, other FOSS project/organisation channels) I
don't see a reason to move it.
tl;dr -- there's no real reason to move, other than 'I want to connect
faster'.
