md5sum
does this do anything? if so then md5sum utility is installed and the
cd's installer source (auto run so to speak) is just buggered in all
honesty, if not, use the mandriva (i think you use, right?)
update/package manager to install md5.

Is it Linux Format magazine? They've got PC Linux on their cover disk
(well, internal now) this month. Mine's just come in the post. If it
is then the forums are excellent. If it isn't then you could always
still try them as they are very good.
