I'd be interested to hear what problems you had. I didn't have any
issues with Ubuntu, although the install is a bit odd on Dapper. Good,
but odd. For those of you that haven't done it, the install CD boots to
a LiveCD with an Install icon on the desktop. Double-click the icon to
start a GUI installer, complete with GParted if you go for the
"Advanced" partitioning option. I think I impressed a few Windows-using
friends by chatting to them on IM networks whilst simultaneously
installing Linux on the same box ;-)
