Thanks, I'm glad you agree. Freenode is good, we should set-up a channel on
there, and have a java irc client on the website for people with the "less
privileged" distros.

Instead of running a server ourselves lots of OSS projects seem to use
freenode but there are loads of networks out there.
I have been lurking on the list for a while but I have no idea where
things like this should go but +1 vote for an IRC channel here :)
