Tell me more about Openfiler - Sounds like something that may be of
interest.

Basically it turns a x86 box into a sort of hybrid SAN/NAS, a bit like a
NetApp really (in the same way that it spins out iSCSI luns as a large file
on the filesystem) with NFS and CIFS access too. Talks to AD (if that is
your thing) or LDAP, have volume groups etc etc etc :) IP bonding, block
level replication, clustering etc etc etc.. oh and it is all Linux based
and free :)
