With the utmost respect, why not? We discuss Linux yes but we do also
discuss many other computing issues. Surely a discussion about
hardware is perfectly fine? It is, after all, an OS agnostic subject.
However if you do wish to post with a new topic, please be sure to

an appropriate *Subject*. Otherwise it makes it very messy to read back
through the list archives and/or my inbox.
This I do agree with. It is simple list etiquette.
