If you want a gui installer type installgui at the booted deb screen that
you'd just hit enter on to install textually.

I actually like Debian :-) including the textual installer. I don't
see what the problem is with having an ncurses type installer. As
for enabling the universe and multiverse repo's in Kubuntu..... I did
that. Again, it did it without any indication and I don't like that
aspect of it. I'm not sure whether libdvdcss has installed either. I
installed libdvdread3 which is supposed to then go ahead and install
the dvdcss file. I'll try an encrypted DVD tomorrow to find out.
