Sadly I'm not the only one who is/will be using this PC. It may well have to run *spit, pah!!!!* Vista at some point in the future. My son is now doing web stuff for his firm and the other day was simply stupid. Dreamweaver and Fireworks ground to a halt :-( He wasn't too pleased as he had a deadline. Now, before you say it, yes, the firm could buy him a PC. Well they will be, a very nice super duper laptop (spec is as yet unknown but it will be very desirable). That's partly the reason for the higher spec (I quite happily use a PC running an AMD K7 500mhz in my workshop). However, being as we will have legal copies of the various Macromedia stuff I may have a dabble myself :-) No, my son can't use open source stuff, this is what the firm will be getting and he doesn't have any say in it...
