Can you actually see the drive in a PC? If the BIOS is picking it up
then you should be able to get any data back yourself with free
software. If it isn't showing in the BIOS then it is usually pretty
serious. How serious depends of course :-) As I say, it may be a
simple case of swapping the circuit board with another drive the same
size and make etc.
