Well I've filed a bug report about it. I'll try doing an upgrade on a
spare drive on my main PC that I sometimes swap in to replace this XP
rubbish. We'll see how that goes....
The 10.04 live disk still runs sweet as a nut on the ML330e so it
ain't a broken hardware issue. It was a test bed more than anything
as I only installed 10.04 a few days ago to see how the old machine
ran. So, because of that it didn't have anything critical on thank
goodness. I'll wipe the disk later today and reinstall 10.04 using
Lubuntu as that ran the best with the admittedly low graphics and RAM
(256mb).
