Is this of any help?
The error (2002) Can't connect to ... normally means that there is no
MySQL server running on the system or that you are using an incorrect Unix
socket filename or TCP/IP port number when trying to connect to the
server.

hello everyone, I have just setup an Ubuntu Feisty Fawn macine to use
as
my
MythTV server, and MySQL has decided to die with this error:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)]
Any help would be much appreciated :)
