Hi everyone,
I have been attempting to get the hang of the 'dd' command and actually
succeeded in creating ISOs of various CDs, DVDs and even a hard disk. For
DVD/CD disks I dismount it first, because its set to autoload, before
executing the DD command.
Then I tried a Music CD and dd keeps reporting and error: device
(/dev/cdrom) not found. Mount(ing) it, umount(ing) it trigger the same
error. Yet, the music player and the file browser find it ok.
I have tried to list all the disk devices with mount but I don't know enough
to extract the correct device name when an Audio CD is loaded.
Is there another command line parameter I should be using? Or do I need to
tell dd the media file system?
Thanks in advance. I will keep googling, you never know I might actually
find a solution. :-)
