I brought one when I went on holiday, once to look smart on the
plane. Other
than that I managed fine with most linux distros and can read small/medium
amounts of text.
If I recall correctly (it's been about 12 months since I tried a BSD
full install to HDD) PC-BSD is probably the most friendly install.
The others are no harder than a Linux distro from about 12 to 24
months ago. BSD has ben steadily getting better and better with all
things and is close to being on par with Linux so the installers are
probably much improved now too.
