I have a legal key...but if you use it more than 3 times it freezes and you have to call m$ every time you need to activate windows

I don't understand? Have you got a valid license for the MS stuff? if
not then your not legal anyway, its irrelevant if the license fell off
the side of your box in a hurricane or the dog eat your paper one,
having a code key is not proof of a licensed box.

1. What are the errors?
2. Have you checked for bad blocks on that partition?

I'm stabbing in the dark here as you don't give an indication of what
the 'Errors' are. It wouldn't surprise me if the HDD was shagged if
you've been adding, merging and deleteing partitions over and over
again.

So do like I do, sit down with a pen and paper list the partitions
using DOS fdsk (or whatever) theres no shame in writing stuff down you
know even so called experts do it, you should be able to work out the
one you want. :-)
