If they comply with the licence terms of whatever software they
distribute, then I don't see how anyone can have an issue with it. The
copyright holders have the final say on what people can/can't do with
their code, and if they release it under the GPL, then they can't
complain if people re-distribute under the terms of the GPL.
If they don't comply with the licence, then that's a whole other issue.
