star downloader - download in chunks of whatever size you want, and
it's freeware... for the windows though

Actually, I used to have exactly that happen, Stuart. It was always
with Opera though. I haven't seen any downloads do it for a long time
now. The thing with Yahoo was that the page would start to load but
then it looked awful. If I tried it with Opera (Windows or Linux) it
loaded smoothly. Only Yahoo too not Google. Very odd....
