Cheers Kris :-) I actually remembered how during my tea. Then I ummed
and ahhed about leaving it until morning to run the command. In the
end I couldn't wait :-) So I am back with a lovely X server again.
Still no higher refresh rate than 65hz though :-( I'll try the forums
for that one as there are tow monitors listed in Kubuntu xorg.conf
files and I'm not sure which one I need to mess with or how....

You can barely see over 65hz anyway... I don't quite know if there's a point
making it any higher.
