You guys are really helpful. Now can anybody tell me a good place around Stoke where I can
buy those little PC Screws? Wilko and B&Q don't sell them, at least not in Crewe.
Though you can mail-order bags of them from Radiospares.
Research reveals these screws are typically Pan-Head Machine Screws, and there are two
main types:
Case screws are 6-32 (six gauge wire with 32 threads per inch) American National Coarse
Thread (UNC) using English Units. Case screws are 1/4-inch long while the similar Hard
Drive screws can be 3/16-inch long.
But CD-Rom screws are the finer Metric Standard M3x0.5 (3 mm wire with a 0.5 mm thread
pitch) 5-mm or maybe 4-mm long.
