Re: [Staffslug] Cyan Screen - Can Anybody Explain

A while ago I got a temporary Hardware Problem with the old CRT on my old but still useful machine. Using Unix Console the White font turned Cyan for that session. From what I remember it only happened once or twice under Unix, while under Windows the same CRT flickered briefly from White to Cyan several times, then back. Somebody in a User Group reported the same phenomenon, so it looks like a low-voltage problem during the Winter. It hasn't recurred for weeks now, so maybe my old CRT isn't going to crash & burn just yet. Does anybody know the explanation for this? Anyway that's why I was interested if anybody was giving away an unwanted CRT for free. Though it looks like there's no real urgency now.
