I tried that on an MSI Wind U100: It gets as far as starting X then
fails; you end up with a black screen and a mouse pointer. Looking at
the bug reports, it seems that you can get it to install on this
hardware with the alternate CD, but then there are other problems. I
think I might skip this one.
10.04 Lucid UNR ( netbook remix ) runs fine on the msi wind. even
finds the rtl8187se.
