Oh believe me, Kris, there is :-) I suffer migraines and if I have a
low refresh rate then I can only sit at a PC for about 5 minutes. At
70hz I'm fine for hours.
I realised that I was leaving out the - in my command. I was typing
in dpkg reconfigure rather than dpkg-reconfigure as I should have
been. It's always the simplest of things isn't it :-) Anyway, thank
you again.
I think, that what I am now going to do is to make a text copy of the
xorg.conf file and post it to the Kubuntu forums to see if anybody can
point out where it is wrong. I'm fed up of editing it to find I have
messed things up. This is despite trawling multiple website and
reading god alone knows how many xorg tutorials... The problem is
that the *buntu's have a supposed fall back configuration in case the
xorg.cong falls over... yeah right. It means that I have tow lots of
settings for both graphics card and monitor and it's bloody
confusing!!!!
