What does the group think about an install fest?

i think the fact you can't register as a new user would put people off the forums along with the fact that many people have said here that they don't like forums, so no point posting there if people just don't like them

Just been over to the web site, looks rather busy, perhaps that's putting folk off using the forum?

If I had the time and skills I'd offer an alternative but I'm afraid I have little of either!

Install fest:

If enough interest could be drummed up with publicity, how about holding one? I 1st got linux on a PC of mine back in the day at an Ox LUG install fest.
