[Staffslug] GPS Tracking

Hello folks, I'd like to perform some tracking via GPS that drops the data back to a central server via the Internet. The idea I have in mind and I'd spoke about in the IRC channel earlier was something that would send back over a 3G sim. Although these are not the most cost effective solution, its better than sitting someone on a bus with a handheld GPS. I'd love to hear feedback, ideas, solutions and recommendations on this subject.
