That maybe due to *History* everyone is ingrained with the traditional
menu style (except totally new users to computers of course) I'm not
sure who had it 1st I want to say SUSE but I'm sure others will shout
me down on that one.
The problem with the SUSE version is its a slab of a slab which makes
it hard to use the mint version is way better given that the right
hand slab pane is an up and down scroll bar so its almost like a
traditional menu inside a slab menu which is much better for old farts
like me to comprehend.

Arch Linux is an independent i686-optimized community distribution for
intermediate and advanced Linux users. Utilising a Rolling Release
System packages are regularly updated and an ISO release is just a
snapshot to the stable packages at that time. So there's no need for a
fresh install the command 'pacman –Syu' upgrades the whole system.
