I have 9.10 working fine on the following:
- Generic work desktop, upgraded from Jaunty
- eee701 clean install using Karmic UNR
- home media centre, clean install of Karmic
- Wraith desktop from efficient PCs upgraded from Hardy to current as
releases were available
- Dell mini, clean install Karmic UNR
- Bodged together laptop built from parts, upgraded from either hardy or
even possible dapper upgraded to current as releases were available
As for performance the eeepc has never run so fast and have noticed speed
improvements on all machines.

Tig

9.10 works perfectly OK on my Toshiba Satellite L40 - including

and
also on my Tosh Netbook NB100.
What IS broken is the Samba implementation, which means that access to
Windows 7 shares varies from normal to impossible!

I've been put off trying 9.10 myself because of all the bad things I've
heard.
- Rushed release.
- Things broken.
- Instability/poor performance
I think 9.10 is Vista... hopefully they'll bring out a Win 7 next :)

P.S. Yes, I know how ironic (or perhaps silly?) it is to compare Linux
to Windows in that way (that way being one's wank, the other good) :p
and I know it will annoy some people.. so in anticipating... here's
two fingers :p lol
