We are campaining for our own SM postcode.
I wonder if OS people are more inclined to complain because they are
used to software that does what THEY want?
Could be :-)))
I know for a fact that the majority of people in my village want a
proper Staffordshire postal address. I am/was chairman of our Village
Appraisal group. It was from this that I learned of the strength of
feeling. I also came across some very entrenched views about
software, which brings this nicely back on topic ;-) I tried
exhaustively to persuade people to use programs like Firefox and Open
Office. I asked for purely text submissions for work on the
'Appraisal'... Huh! I might as well have shouted at the wall. It's
everyday people like this who are the ones most likley to benefit from
FOSS but who the likes of MS and Apple are so damned good at keeping
hold of. I'll not go into a major rant...I could as I'm sure most of
us could :-/
