Lo, I've always felt the LUG needed to have some kind of cash, with cash you have trips and competitions which can be fun (I've got loads of books, gadgets that I thought could go in a geeky raffle :P). With that in mind I feel 3 people at minimum are needed... - A chair, someone to lead who is charismatic, a people pleaser who can regularly show up to meetings and give direction. - A secretary, someone who can handle IRC, mailing lists, updates to the web site, etc... - A treasurer, someone who can handle the finances. I've ran university union societies before so I have a lot of experience to offer to such a set up if that is the way it goes. In regards to the cash element, I run a not for profit company called Function Office (look at WebCheck) that focuses on open source orientated communities, we get charged no corporation tax at all, free non-profit business banking with debit cards at Lloyds TSB, and I can make subaccounts - so can easily make a community sub account for the LUG to use. Not to mention we have loads of servers (or make a free virtual server!) to host anything you like including the web site using open source software. At a push I'd take a role of treasurer since it's the least time consuming, but only if no one else came forward... as you can see from above I have plenty to run already :P Whomever takes over, lemme know if your interested in any of that, mobile is 07708814199 if you need it.
