Hi Dave. My real concern was purely that we might be going way, way,
way off topic. I'm just so used to getting pounced upon in other
lists for OT threads. If the group wish to debate completely off
topic stuff then count me in :-)
Actually, was that thread so OT? I think it touched upon a social
aspect of open source. Open Source software is meant to empower the
individual, to allow wide spread use of software no matter how rich or
poor you are or how intellectual you may be. So, perhpas some of the
things in the thread (that upset me) could be likened to Microsoft's
business practices of lock in and exclusivity?
