I need a small w*n part, my main PCLinuxOS and room to play
distro-hopping. I can't understand how to sort out the bootloader.
I've got some info (that I don't understand fully) on using the XP
bootloader to find the others but it seems complicated. Is there a
"stand alone" boot loader? Is there way to do it by point'n'click to
avoid the command line boogie?
Download this
http://slackware.at/data/slackware-current/rootdisks/sbootmgr.dsk
You will also need rawrite
http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/rawwrite.htm
And one blank floppy disk, use rawrite to write sbootmgr to the floppy
then make sure your system boots from floppy 1st (check BIOS) when the
loader screen appears hit ctrl h (I think) you need to make it re-scan
the partions then choose which one to boot.
Ta da!
I use it all the time using it on this machine now :-)
