I don't know how it would do on a *nix system but
eeeuser.com suggests
getting the new Trust ultra-small BT adapter as it's about the right size
for an eee (i.e. tiny weeny!):

and relatively cheap as well.

I've just ordered ordered an Eee PC and a Huawei E220 modem.
I'll let you know how I get on.
I like the look of those bluetooth devices - prime candidate for getting
lost I think.
I reckon I'll order one of those another day and try and get internet
through a Motorola Razr phone.
