I could of course be wrong :-) but I seem to remember the shielded
stuff being recommended for general network wiring runs in a building.
It is stiffer and tougher but that doesn't really matter as it is not
being moved once in position. That is unlike, for example, a patch
cable where it may be run through some quite acute angles in the
server framework. I'm just going on what we did when we wired up
parts of Priorslee Campus over at Telford.
