[Staffslug] Can't access cdrom

Hello the Experts, I have now installed PCLinuxOS on my old laptop, the first time i did it all was fine but i made such a mess of getting the broadcom pcmcia wifi to work that i ended up doing a reinstall! Since then i can't access the cdrom. If i put in an audio cd it spins and is detected by kcd or kaffeine will display a list of tracks so i'm sure the drive is ok- anyway i just used it for the install. I get a message about checking permissions or no media inserted. Any suggestions? Thanks Stuart. Registered Linux Mangler #001
