Well I must admit that as someone who's been on this list for a number
of months it gets tedious recieving all the emails but it is nice when
you get a good one.
Just a polite personal request (that will probably get shot down) but
can we be a bit more harmonious guys so that my phone isn't always
vibrating with an angry email.
Also i'm with Sim. Horses for courses...use what's right for you. By
all means try lots but be prepared that you might find a distro that's
right for you. Or not lol!

well as the new member i find it slightly amusing, but also a bit
sad too. but then i also found the response from someone when pre-
arranged IRC meet was suggested was quite bewildering, something
about it not being on their terms LOL.
the wonderful thing about linux is you can choose you level of
involvement now, you can distro-hop til you find something that is
easy as clicking an install button, but then on that very same o/s
you can learn exactly whats going on with you system and choose to
see things on that level.
and i wouldn't be afraid to ask for help on here, but i probably
would goto UbuntuForums first, as thats just where i usually go when
googling doesn't give any reward simply for the fact that there are
so many people on there, so generally you get good rounded answers.
also, i much prefer the forum format than mailing lists.
