i reccomend getting a variety of the three main ubuntu's xfce, kde and
gnome... mainly because there are many who wont touch gnome and kde is
quite good for beginners..

Kevan: It all depends on how many people use the forum really,
I'm not
saying we don't need a forum. If it were left to me I'd run something like
phpbb or something similar. That way its easier to fix when something goes
wrong and easier to admin.
Dave: The more I think about it the more I like it. I'm drafting something
out but if anyone can get some details on a possible host then it'd help
loads heh.
I have sent for a truckload of ubuntu cd's which I plan to give away at
the install-fest if anyone has any other distros that might be good to give
away let me know. For the geeks in us what other stuff would be good to do?
freenas has been mentioned anything else?
