Oh by the way... that is what I'd do in Debian Etch! Don't know what
distro you're running... would probably work in Debian Sarge/Lenny too
as well as numerous Ubuntu's

Heres a simple way...
(presumably for a share which will work with other linux/windows/mac boxes)
apt-get install samba
wget
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin_1.400_all.deb
dpkg -i webmin_1.400_all.deb
apt-get install -f
Browse to
https://localhost:10000
Log in as your linux root account
Goto Servers on the left and Samba
From there you can configure Samba shares :D
