Firstly, I'd like to thank Dave for his efforts over the past few years.
Without his work I don't think we would even have a lug at this point.
Secondly, I'd like to open the discussion as to how we choose a
successor to take over Dave's role. My suggestion would be to have a
call for volunteers followed by a vote if we get more than one.
What does everyone else think?

Secondly, yes, agreed volunteers and a vote if more than one. Or even
an informal committee?
